Following the distribution of rice to different states in Nigeria by the federal government, there been a serious backlash after it was discovered that the rice were reportedly half spolit and not convenient for consumption.
However, According to Fani Kayode it was only the governor of Oyo State Seyi Makinde who was courages enough to let everyone know about the poor act from the federal government.
He wrote;
“Disgusted that the FG could send rotten mouldy rice to SW as part of their so-called palliatives. Did they do the same to northern states? I gather ALL the SW Governors sent the rice back but only @seyiamakindewas bold enough to let the world know what happened. I commend him.”
