You Have No Respect; Omotola Tells Son, Captain E

As veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde marks 25 years on screen, it was time for her to reminisce. 

So it came as no surprise when she posted a clip from her movie, True Love which was released in 2002. In the movie, Omotola plays the role of a heartbroken lover of Ramsey Nouah who couldn’t stand seeing him with someone else and threatens to jump into the sea. 

Despite pleas from Ramsey, she takes the leap, leaving him in tears. 

“They said Titanic did not do more than this. I agree! Rose and jack who? #TrueLove #2002 #18yearsago,” she captioned the clip.

Reacting to the post, Omotola’s son, Captain E, who is a singer and music maker, lightheartedly wondered why she didn’t just swim to safety. “I have a question can’t she swim?” he asked, using the laughter emoji, to which Omotola responded, “iamcaptaine you have no Respect.”

The banter between mother and son drew laughter from their fans on Instagram who also lightheartedly dropped their comment. 

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has shown her industry colleague, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde some sisterly love as she clocks 25 years in the entertainment industry.

In an Instagram post, Abraham described Omotola as a great inspiration with an inexhaustible depth of creativity.
