Finally, Egypt emerges the most powerful country in Africa, see Nigeria's position.

According to the 2020 Best Countries Rankings, five African nations picked from Africa as the continent’s most powerful countries. In the ranking Egypt has emerged as the number one (1) most powerful country in Africa , Egypt was seconded by South Africa. Kenya came third and fourth most powerful country in Africa is Ghana , while Morroco took the fifth position on the ranking.

1 Egypt.

2. South Africa.

3. Kenya.

4. Ghana.

5. Morocco.

You might ask why Nigeria did not make the list.

Here are the reasons. In the ranking, countries are chosen based on some factors that cover their respect for human rights, their GDPs, ease of doing business, among other attributes.

Going further on the list, Egypt was ranked first in the African category but when it comes to world , Egypt took 36 positiom on the world category, South on the other hand came second in Africa, but took 39th position among world countries.

Coming down to some factors that was put into consideration during the ranking, like electricity countries like Mauritius and Tunisia ranked first and second respectively with a 100% electricity supply, while Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, and Seychelles ranked 99.8%, 99.1%, and 99% respectively as well, and because not electricity is considered during the ranking Mauritius and Tunisia couldn't make it to the top as a result of some other factors.

Remember there's no country on the list that has below 80% electricity access as South Africa and Ghana, nations on ninth and 10th positions, have 84.3% and 84.2% power access rates.

Now hear this !, Do know that Moroccan government harnessed the opportunity in green technology and used it to proffer solution to one of its citizen's challenges which is electricity.

The government went ahead built a solar panel tree in Marrakesh so that people can easily charge their phones without having to worry about electricity.

It's a pity that Nigeria did make it to the top and that is the more reason why the government of Nigeria needs to put up their efforts to better the lives of her citizens, because it one of the factors considered during ranking.
