David Adedeji Adeleke known popularly by his stage name Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. Davido was born in Atlanta, US, but was raised in Lagos Having discovered his flare for the art at a young age Davido would go on to join KB International Music group. He was later sent to further his studies abroad in the Oakwood University majoring in Business Administrations before dropping out of school to pursue his music career Davido rose to fame after releasing "Dami Duro", the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo he released in 2012 which popular figures in Nigeria such as Aliko Dangote and his father were also in attendance.
Davido has been a subject of controversy when it comes to writing his songs as songwriters are not giving the recognition they deserve in this part of the country.
